This qualification has been developed to support a role in the workplace, as a lead adult care worker, lead personal assistants, care supervisors or community support workers. Learners are most likely to be working in the following settings; Residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, healthcare or similar

· Care Worker Responsibilities and Ways of Working
· The Principles of Duty of Care in Care Settings
· The Principles of Safeguarding and Protection in Care Settings
· The Principles of Mental Capacity and Restrictive Practice in Care Settings
Progression:
Upon completion of this qualification, learners are able to proceed on to Level 4 Certificate in Principles of Leadership and Management in Adult Care (RQF), or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management in Care (RQF)
