Apprenticeship

Community Training Services (CTS)

At Community Training Services, we deliver high-quality apprenticeships in Health and Social Care, Early Years, and Residential Childcare, designed to support learners in gaining real workplace experience while achieving nationally recognised qualifications.

Our apprenticeship programmes combine on-the-job training, structured learning, and ongoing support, helping individuals develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for a successful career

What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a work-based training programme where learners:

  • Work in a real job
  • Earn while they learn
  • Gain a recognised qualification
  • Develop practical, job-ready skills

Apprenticeships are suitable for both new starters and existing staff looking to develop within their role.

Our Apprenticeship Programmes

We offer apprenticeships across key sectors, including:

Health and Social Care

  • Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard

Early Years

  • Early Years Practitioner (Level 2)
  • Early Years Educator (Level 3)

Residential Childcare

  • Residential Childcare Worker (Level 3)

Each programme is designed to meet industry standards and support career progression.

How Apprenticeships Work

Our apprenticeships are delivered through a structured and supportive approach:

  • A dedicated trainer/assessor is allocated to each learner
  • Regular one-to-one sessions (typically every 2–4 weeks)
  • Learning delivered via Microsoft Teams and workplace visits (where applicable)
  • Access to an online learning portal for resources and assignments
  • Ongoing feedback, progress reviews, and support

Learners will complete a combination of:

  • Workplace observations
  • Written assignments
  • Professional discussions
  • Portfolio of evidence

Support for Learners

We provide full support throughout the apprenticeship, including:

  • Initial assessment and induction
  • Individual learning plans
  • Careers advice and guidance
  • Functional Skills support (if required)
  • Preparation for End-Point Assessment (EPA)

Your assessor will be your main point of contact and will guide you through every stage of your programme.

Support for Employers

We work closely with employers to ensure apprenticeships meet workforce needs.

Our employer support includes:

  • Programme planning and onboarding
  • Regular progress updates
  • Monthly employer reviews
  • Support with compliance and funding requirements
  • Workforce development planning

This ensures apprenticeships deliver real value to your organisation.
