At Community Training Services, we are committed to delivering high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to support learners and employers in making informed decisions about their education, training, and career progression.
Our CEIAG approach ensures that every learner is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed within the Health and Social Care, Early Years, and Residential Childcare sectors, and to progress into meaningful employment or further learning.
What is CEIAG?
Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) provides learners with the support they need to:
- Explore career pathways in health and social care and childcare sectors
- Understand different qualification levels and progression routes
- Develop employability skills and workplace knowledge
- Make informed decisions about training and career development
- Access opportunities for further education and professional growth
Our CEIAG services are embedded throughout the learner journey and are accessible before enrolment, during training, and after completion.
CEIAG Before Enrolment
Before starting a course, we provide clear and accessible career advice and course information to help learners choose the right programme. This includes:
- Detailed course information and qualification structure
- Entry requirements and eligibility criteria
- Expected duration and study commitments
- Assessment methods and expectations
- Career opportunities and progression routes within the adult care and childcare sectors
We also carry out initial discussions and assessments to understand each learner’s:
- Career goals and aspirations
- Previous experience and skills
- Individual learning needs and support requirements
This ensures learners are placed on the most appropriate training programme.
CEIAG During Your Course
Throughout the programme, learners receive ongoing career guidance and learner support from a dedicated assessor.
Support includes:
- Regular one-to-one progress reviews
- Ongoing career discussions and goal setting
- Support with assignments and workplace learning
- Development of transferable employability skills
- Guidance on next steps and progression opportunities
Learners will typically meet with their assessor every two weeks via Microsoft Teams, ensuring continuous support and engagement.
Career Progression and Opportunities
Our CEIAG provision supports learners to progress within their chosen career pathway, including:
- Entry-level roles such as Care Assistant or Support Worker
- Progression into senior roles such as Senior Care Worker or Team Leader
- Advancement into management positions within the care sector
We also provide guidance on:
- Progressing to higher-level qualifications (Levels 3, 4 and 5)
- Continuing professional development (CPD)
- Specialist training in areas such as dementia care, safeguarding, and mental health
Additional Learning and Support
Community Training Services promotes inclusive education and accessible learning. Additional support may include:
- Reasonable adjustments for learners with additional needs
- Flexible learning approaches
- Study skills and time management support
- Signposting to external careers services and support organisations
All support is delivered in a confidential, supportive, and learner-focused environment.
