At Community Training Services, the safety and well-being of our learners, staff, and the vulnerable individuals they support are our highest priorities. Our Commitment

We believe that everyone, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, or background, has the right to live free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. As a provider of Health & Social Care and Childcare qualifications, we uphold the highest standards of safeguarding in line with UK legislative requirements.

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding is the action taken to promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and protect them from harm. This includes:

  • Protecting individuals from maltreatment.
  • Preventing impairment of health and development.
  • Ensuring individuals grow up or live in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care.

Types of Abuse We Monitor

It is essential for our learners to recognize the signs of various forms of abuse, including but not limited to:

  • Physical Abuse: Hitting, shaking, or inappropriate handling.
  • Emotional Abuse: Bullying, threats, or constant criticism.
  • Neglect: Failure to provide basic medical, emotional, or physical care.
  • Financial Abuse: Theft, fraud, or pressure in connection with wills or property.
  • Modern Slavery: Human trafficking and forced labor.
  • Prevent/Radicalization: Protecting individuals from being drawn into terrorism.

How to Report a Concern

If you have a concern about your own safety, the safety of a fellow learner, or a situation in your workplace, please do not stay silent.

  1. Listen: We will listen to your concerns without judgment.
  2. Record: All details will be recorded accurately and confidentially.
  3. Action: We will follow our internal protocols and, where necessary, refer the matter to the appropriate local authorities or social services.
