This qualification is designed for those learners who are working with or aspire to work with individuals who have dementia. It is a knowledge only qualification and beneficial for those working in care or similar environment
Course Contents:
·dementia awareness,
·the person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia,
·understand the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia, and
·understand equality, diversity and inclusion in dementia care.
Progression:
Upon completion of this qualification learners are able to proceed to a range of courses such as;level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF) or the Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (RQF) and many many more
